Children can use every part of this site without creating an account or providing any information. There is no login, no membership, and no subscription required for any content.
Taiwan Granddad offers stories about Asian animals and birds, recipes and food facts, history and adventure stories, games and quizzes, and a quiet section called The Lantern with stories about faith. All content is written for children aged 6 to 12 and is reviewed before publishing.
The Lantern is a quiet section of the site containing Roman Catholic stories — the life of Christ, the Apostles, and saints from around the world. It is not promoted or highlighted. Children find it by scrolling to the end of the homepage. It is gentle, story-based, and not preachy.
The site is mobile-first and designed specifically for children aged 6 to 12. Large text, big images, simple navigation, and short content pieces are used throughout. The site does not link to external sites from within content pages.
